The Rioja Archtop
European maple and European spruce are outstanding Archtop guitar woods. The binding is figured maple. African Blackwood is used for other parts, including the bridge, fingerboard, the headcap, the back strap of the headstock, the tailpiece, and the neck laminates. The Kent Armstrong pickup is hand made by Kent himself, and there are a volume and tone control discretely accessible at the edge of the finger rest. Gotoh tuning machines hold the strings firmly at the headstock. This guitar gets its name from the red wine color. Rioja is a wine region of Spain. The gold hardware and gold mother of pearl make a stunning contrast. Comes with a hard shell case. $7900.
